1-2-1 Teaching Assistant required to support students who have been excluded from mainstream education. The Education Network is currently recruiting for an exercised Teaching Assistant to support a male Key Stage 4 student at a SEMH school. This school supports children with SEMH needs, many of which have an EHCP. This particular child has been excluded from mainstream education and requires 1-2-1 support.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be acting as a positive role model, managing behaviours and helping this student to get the most out of each day. The experienced team of Teaching Assistants and Teachers will provide you with a high level of support, helping you to cater for the needs of the students. Good behaviour management and understanding of de-escalation techniques are essential for this role.
- Providing 1-2-1 classroom support for a student with SEMH needs
- Managing challenging behaviours and keeping student engaged
- Providing positive intervention sessions
- Providing support on school trips and extracurricular activities
- Working with the SENCO to ensure EHCPs are followed
