A Manchester based specialist school that serves children from the ages of 11-16 years old is hoping to find a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor for pupils who require additional support.
As the school caters specifically for children with SEBD and SEMH, experience of this environment would be an advantage however if you are willing, interested and passionate about supporting vulnerable children this could be the role for you.
The school is located very close to M60 and has good bus links. The school want to welcome a patient, disciplined and enthusiastic individual onto their team that will focus on the children's needs and help them to integrate well into the classroom environment.
The perfect candidate will be able to use their own initiative throughout the day and be able to think on their feet when dealing with challenging behaviour. You must be able to stay calm, be patient and be empathetic towards the child
If you have previous experience working with challenging behaviour or have worked in such professions as the police or the armed forces this could be of interest.
What you will need:
Experience working with children or young adults
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one).
Team Teach/Experience with challenging behaviour(highly desirable).
Strong Behaviour Management
