Tutors - Sporting Chance
The Education Network is working in partnership with Sporting Chance to employ reliable, resilient, and passionate Tutors. Sporting Chance is a community organisation based in Newcastle which supports young people who have difficulty in remaining engaged with mainstream education. Sporting Chance offers accredited courses in Maths, English, ICT, Food & Cookery, and Sports alongside sporting activities, for those students who benefit from more active and kinaesthetic learning programs.
To be successful in your application for the role of Tutor at Sporting Chance, you must have experience of working with difficult to engage young people and ideally have a teaching qualification.
You must also possess the following attributes:
· Passionate about helping every young person
· Able to work as part of a team
· Creative in your approach educating young people
· Can work with young people aged 12 - 19 years old
· Have experience and understanding of working with young people with SEN
· Build and develop professional relationships
· Be compassionate and positive with a flexible approach when supporting young people
