Full-Time | £95–£115 per day | Ongoing Opportunity

The Education Network is seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Newcastle.

This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity, offering a rewarding chance to make a real difference to students' learning, confidence and development.

Key Responsibilities
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students engage with their learning.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and additional learning needs.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, participation and confidence in the classroom.
  • Help create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to meet students' individual needs.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Recent experience working with young people - must within the past two years.
  • A patient, caring and positive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting young people's development.
  • An enhanced DBS check, or a willingness to complete the required checks with our support.
Pay & Opportunity
  • Pay: £95–£115 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.
  • Location: Newcastle.
  • Working pattern: Full-time.
  • Contract: Ongoing on a long term basis.
  • Start date: ASAP.
