With the fantastic reputation and relationships we have built over the years with our partnership schools in the North East, the Education Network are currently seeking to recruit 3 Early Years Teaching Assistants to work at one of our partnership schools in Ashington. This role is an immediate start 5 days per week until Summer 2022. Candidates also have the option to be taken on directly by the School.
We are looking to find 3 fantastic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who can go in ad hit the ground running. The role would consist of whole class support, where you will be expected to identify the developmental needs of pupils within the class and support accordingly. There will often be times also when you would be expected to take small groups and work on a 1:1 basis to provide additional support to pupils on a one to one basis to help with their concentration, focus and raising their attainment in the general curriculum.
The school is looking for individuals who are warm, approachable and can work under their own initiative to help create a welcoming environment for young minds to flourish.
To be considered for the role we would first ask that you meet the following criteria:
- You must be willing to complete registration with ourselves so that you are clear to work in primary schools from a compliance perspective.
- Qualified to at least a Level 2 in a relevant education support and leaning.
- Have zero criminal convictions and if not in possession already be willing to apply for a DBS (Disclosure and Barring service) Certificate.
- Have recent experience of working in a classroom environment in the past 2-3 years (voluntary is acceptable).
- Have enthusiasm for learning and supporting teachers and pupils in school.
- Be able to provide references to cover you for your last 2 years of employment (at least one being relevant to childcare/education).
