SEND Teaching Assistant - Autism Specialism
The Education Network are currently seeking enthusiastic, confident and hardworking SEND Teaching Assistants who specialise in supporting children who have Autism. We work in close partnership with several specialist schools for children with ASD, and are proud to be able to provide them with high-quality staff who are comfortable working with children across the Autism spectrum.

The ideal SEND Teaching Assistant will:
*Have recent and relevant experience in a similar role, preferably working with children with Autism though we will accept applicants with a background in mainstream education/care/nursing etc.
*Posses the key transferrable skills needed to be able to effectively support children with ASD, such as resilience, confidence, patience and a nurturing personality
*Have experience dealing with the challenging behaviour that children with Autism can present
*Be able to effectively assist learning on a 1:1, small group or whole class basis depending on what is required
*Possess an enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one
*Have a full understanding of the safeguarding responsibilities of an SEND Teaching Assistant
