SEN Teaching Assistant - Durham

The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Durham in search of a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis, ongoing. The role is to start as soon as possible and has no fixed end date.

The role of the SEN Teaching Assistant will involve working with children with high-functioning Autism who need additional support to achieve their learning goals.

In order to be successful in your application, you must be confident and have some experience of supporting children within a school setting, preferably with the secondary school age group (11-18).

Requirements for this role:
oExperience in the classroom
oHave strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff and students.
oHave excellent organisational and time management skills.
oAt least two years of work history/education which can be referenced.
oA valid DBS certificate or the willingness to apply for one.
