The Education Network is working in partnership with a specialist school for children with barriers to education. The school is looking to appoint a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant (TA).  The role is to begin ASAP but the school are prepared to wait for the best candidate. 

Working as part of a committed team, the desired Teaching Assistant (TA) will focus on delivering one to one support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as supporting the other children within the class of 15 students.

This specialist school is looking for a committed and successful Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their motivated team. The school has fantastic facilities and is in a beautiful rural area of Northumberland. The local community is highly supportive of the school and parental involvement is very positive.
Requirements
To be considered for the desired (TA) position, you will:

  • Hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in supporting teaching & learning.
  • Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in an SEN environment.
  • A kind and patient nature.
  • Have the drive to improve the outcomes for children with barriers to education.
  • Ideally have experience delivering small interventions to children with SEN.
