What does The Education Network do?
Based in Warrington for 12 years, we are a small team that supply Teachers, Teaching Assistants and 1-1 Tutors into a variety of education settings across Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside.
The main part of our business is supplying local education authorities and schools, with 1-1 Tutors who support students on a 1-1 basis, who are not accessing full time education. This element of our business is growing year on year and as such we are now seeking additional support.
What will a SEN Recruiter do?
Supporting with all aspects of the recruitment process from start to finish and everything in between!
" Managing a variety of daily emails such as a request for a Tutor the following day, an invoice query, a parent/carer cancelling 1-1 that day, to a finance contact at a school querying our charge rates etc.
" Matching Tutors to the request of the school usually to start the following day, ensuring a variety of key areas are matched such as day/time/venue/area/skill set/subject/SEN etc. this is key to ensure the right candidate is matched to the right role
" Chatting to parent/carers who the 1-1 tuition has been requested for, as well as speaking to venues such as libraries to check the opening hours
" Advertising vacancies on job boards to attract new candidates & making initial contact to identify suitability to roles such as 1-1 Tutor and SEN TA
" Designing punchy/easy on the eye mailshots/profiles for new Tutors/TA and sending out to specific schools to gain interest, then following up with the school
" Assisting with weekly payroll - a good eye for detail is absolutely essential for this as we manually input payroll for 70+ candidates per week, all with multiple students/hrs per week and we pride ourselves on ensuring all our candidates are paid promptly & accurately

What skills and experience do I need?
There is no one profile we look for. Yes, if you have been based within an education setting whether that be another agency or in school, that would be great. However, we are seeking somebody who is:-
" Quick to learn - lots of emails, calls, general admin etc. so you need to pick things up quickly and think ahead
" Extremely down to earth, yet professional - we pride ourselves on our friendly, relaxed approach whilst offering a super speedy, efficient service to our schools and candidates
" Able to balance a wide range of tasks without needing much direction - you need to work off your own 'steam' be able to self-motivate and enjoy being busy - we are a business that doesn't micro manage and expect our staff to being naturally hardworking and committed to what they do
" Able to produce well written emails & take a great deal of pride in your work - every email sent is a reflection of our business
" Although it may sound cliché, as we are a small team, we also looking for a team player and someone who goes above and beyond to get the job done and 'muck in' where and when needed.
What benefits are there?
" Salary is negotiable for the right candidate - with annual salary reviews based on performance. We financially reward our staff members and don't set un realistic targets.
" Heavily reduced hours during the school holidays (13 weeks per year) such as half days (paid in full)
" A friendly small very relaxed team of 4, that have been part of the business 43 years collectively! An environment where you will feel appreciated, as part of the team and will be given the freedom to build your own role to some degree and bring new ideas along.
" Modern, town centre based office with private kitchen, interview rooms, café on site and free parking.
" Flexible hours - hours can be negotiable for the right candidate who may need to do school drop/pick up/work around other commitments.
" The chance to earn monthly commission based on performance
" Workplace pension
