SEND Teacher-Primary Trained
Location - Warrington, UK
The Education Network is currently seeking an experienced Primary Teacher for a very well respected SEND School in the central Warrington area. The role will involve teaching the Primary Curriculum to classes from Reception through to KS-4 (those at KS3/4 are working at a lower level-primary curriculum). Students display a range of ASD, MLD, SLD and complex learning difficulties. You will be supported in the class by TAs working with the whole class, and additional 1:1 TAs that will work with one particular student. The role will commence as soon as the right teacher for the role is sourced. This position is full time, 5 days per week, and will continue through until the end of the academic year.
We regularly recruit good Teachers and Teaching Assistants for this school to assist on a day-to-day basis, as well as longer term roles as they become available-many of which have led on to permanent positions within the school. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a fantastic school specialising in educating students with Complex Learning Needs. The school has consistently been rated as 'Excellent' in the last 3 OfSted inspections. The school caters for students from EYFS up to A-Level (having a shared VI Form facility on site).
You will have experience of, and enjoy working with students who have complex SEND learning requirements-gained in a similar school environment. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a very pro-active school, with strong community links, an excellent reputation, and an ethos to encourage students to enjoy their learning environment. The school is easily accessible by public transport (bus/train), should you not have access to your own vehicle.
The successful candidates will:
- Have previous experience of working in a similar environment, or with those with similar needs
- A willingness to participate in relevant training and development opportunities
- Be keen to learn and develop professionally
- Be able to work on their own initiative, as well as collaboratively
- Be pro-active team members, committed to raising standards and achievements of all students
- Have a passion for education that shows in your approach and methodology
