SEND Teaching Assistant
Location - Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK
The Education Network is currently seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a very well respected Primary School in the central Macclesfield area, commencing ASAP-with the potential of being a long term role for the right person. You will be working 1:1 with a student who has a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism and SEBD. Ideally you will be a qualified Level 3 TA, although the school will consider those without L3, but have extensive experience in a similar role.
This is a long term role working on a 1:1 basis, who needs long term stability with the teaching assistant that they are working with. Therefore, please only apply if you are seeking a long term position of this nature.
You will assist teaching staff in the delivery of learning activities and work programmes and undertake predetermined activities with the student so that their intellectual and social development (including self-reliance and self-esteem) is fostered.
You will be required to liaise with parents and carers in conjunction with the teaching staff to ensure effective communication concerning the pupils' well being.
