Post lockdown alternative provision one to one tutors needed

As we are all currently in lockdown there is no extra work for tutors at present but this won't last for ever. The schools and local authorities we are talking to have indicated that once things get back to "normal" there will be an increased need for one to one tutors to get pupils back on track.

The Education Network is seeking 1:1 Alternative Provision Tutors to work on a 1:1 basis with Looked after Children (LAC) with a diverse set of needs, including Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), throughout the Northwich and surrounding area. Tutors will successfully implement teaching in core subject areas (Maths, English, Science) based around each individual's EHCP. As a 1:1 Tutor you will help students overcome their barriers to learning, as such you will have a calm, patient, empathetic manner-whilst also having de-escalation strategies to overcome displays of challenging behaviour. You must also be comfortable in liaising with school contacts as well as parents/carers. Tuitions take place in a variety of public spaces (such as libraries) as well as the home/care homes.

1:1 Tutoring is a very rewarding role, working with students on an individual basis without the distraction of being in the classroom. You can develop a healthy and empowering relationship with students and facilitate a positive learning experience with successful outcomes.

Currently there are 1.6 million vulnerable children in the UK not accessing mainstream education. The Education Network is THE leading provider of targeted 1:1 alternative provision tutors in the North West region, we work with 7 local authorities, and have a team of 80+ 1:1 AP tutors that we currently work with-and we need to build that team further. Can you see yourself making a difference in young people's lives by being a 1:1 Tutor?

If you think you that this would be a role for you, we need to know who you are and we need you to send us your cv so that we can get you into work post lockdown. So email your cv to Warrington@ and one of our consultants will get back to you.

The Education Network is committed to Safer Recruitment and recruits to Compliance+  standards. Any appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check in addition to other safeguarding checks. The Education Network is an equal opportunities employer. The Education Network is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
