Annual Humber School Games was a punch above the rest!

The final of the Humber School Games was held at Hymers College, Hull on the 15th July 2016 and was sponsored by The Education Network’s Hull office.

Hull’s local boxing hero, Tommy Coyle attended the medal ceremony which saw the release of balloons with every child’s name on the tag to represent the Humber School Games for the local area.

As well as local sporting stars, our increasingly popular anti-bullying mascot, Buddy the Panda attended the event to further ensure the day was enjoyed by all!

Three competitions were held during the School Games and each of the winners took a Kindle Fire home, courtesy of The Education Network for their amazing efforts.

The competition categories were:

• Designing the medals for the Games – Isobel Sutton- South Holderness College

• Write an Oath – Callum Smith – Fairfield Academy

• Design a Banner – Ben Farmer – South Cave School

There was even a “Tug of War” lunch time event between Willerby Carr Lane Primary and The Education Network staff.

In the end, the school won of course, resulting in an excellent conquest for this winning primary school and a fantastic day overall!
