The Education Network took part in yet another successful school games this month but this time, the event was in Yorkshire!

The games were held on Monday 20th June at the University of York.

Primary schools attended the games from across the North Yorkshire area.

The schools that took part hold various different qualifying heats for each athletic discipline and as a result, will take part in a huge tournament at the end of the year.

The Education Network sponsor a number of School Games across the country. The games in each area run the same but are sponsored by different offices.

The School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport.

As sponsors we provide donations to fund help fund the games. We provide prizes for competitions which promote the cultural element of the games, we give goodies out to children throughout the event and we volunteer our services on the day, including the option of having our anti-bullying Panda mascot, ‘Buddy’ present.

The Education Network also provide water and energy bars for the young athletes participating to keep their sports nutrition in check!

We received some amazing feedback following the day and we’d like to thank all who got involved and attended.

We look forward to our continued sponsorship of all the School Games we’re involved in this year, in particular the South and West Yorkshire games which are taking part on Friday 1st and Tuesday 5th July 2016.
