TEACHING ASSISTANT – Working on a 1-2-1 or very small group basis in an Alternative Provision for Secondary-aged pupils.  This is a well-equipped, organised and managed provision that provides plenty of learning and development opportunities for the children it supports. You will be working as part of a team that provides supports during lessons and will also provide additional support by taking the children out of the classroom as appropriate and engaging them in other ways. 

The School is Ofsted “Good” and has been commended for its’ solid leadership and excellent teaching in this challenging environment.  Love going to visit this school, the staff are friendly and there is a productive and fun atmosphere where children enjoy learning.

Ideally you will be:

-       A qualified Teaching Assistant, Learning Mentor or Learning Support Assistant

-       Used to working with Secondary-aged pupils

-       Happy to support across the full curriculum

-       Able to find innovative ways to engage children during lessons

-       Working with small groups or 1-2-1 already and looking for a long-term opportunity

You will be the person that these children come to rely on for support both in and outside the classroom so a patient and professional approach is essential.
