This local Alternative Provision are looking for an inspiring and engaging Teaching Assistant to work on a 1-2-1 basis with students who have become disengaged from mainstream education. This role requires a Teaching Assistant with good behaviour management skills and experience supporting Key Stage 3 & 4 students. With this role you will be welcomed by a friendly and accomplished team who are fully committed to the development of the children that they support.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing 1-2-1 classroom based support to students who have been excluded from mainstream education. You will get to take part in all the fun activities that are provided for students, as this Alternative Provision are focused on providing students with new opportunities to continue their development. - Providing 1-2-1 support as a Learning Mentor
- Building rapport with students
- Delivering fun activities for students
- Managing classroom behaviour
- Providing high quality academic support
Ideally, you will:
- Have experience working with challenging behaviour
- Be a qualified Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant
- Be resilient, creative and fun
- Be able to motivate disengaged children
This role is located a short commute from Dudley, Halesowen, Birmingham, Tipton and surrounding areas. With a great team and dynamic leadership this is a great opportunity for a Learning Mentor who is looking to make a difference to the children that they work with.
