We are recruiting for Science graduates to work in a larger than average secondary academy in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.  Your role will be as a Science Mentor and you’ll be given the chance to become fully embedded into a well-run and forward-thinking Science department.

The Education Network are working alongside this lovely school in Sheffield and their Science department.  Thanks to increasing grades, the Science department are looking to sustain their success and add Science mentors to their team.  Your role will be completely supportive, not only to the pupils, but to the staff members also.


You will be taking small groups of learners, helping them to prepare for their exams.  You’ll have responsibility of tutoring and mentoring, with sessions that help to increase confidence and build interest in all three sciences, designed to increase attainment.


In between this role, and taking smaller groups, you will sometimes be asked to cover full classes in the absence of the permanent teacher.  This will give you some great experience to build your own confidence when delivering Science sessions to learners of different abilities and levels of learning.


This is a full time role and is due to start immediately.
