Experienced Youth Workers urgently required in Sheffield. The Education Network are looking for experienced youth workers and candidates keen to get experience in a secondary schools, to work within Sheffield Secondary Schools to carry out the role of cover supervisor.
The roles will involve supervising students in the absence of their teacher, and supporting their learning.
You will be responsible for ensuring pupils follow the work that has been set making sure they're on task.
You will need to be very proactive and engaging, helping pupils where necessary.
Good communication and ICT skills are essential for cover supervisors along with an interest in the education of young people or are looking into applying for a teaching qualification.
You must also be very flexible and adaptable as you could be working in five different schools in one week.
All applicants must have a full driver's licence and their own transport. You will hold a current DBS check or you will be willing to do one.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Have Strong Classroom Management
A formal qualification of a British Bachelors or Masters degree is essential
Experience in a classroom would be an advantage although training is provided.
If you are looking to do a PGCE Course or BEd then this is the perfect opportunity to get some experience in the classroom to see if teaching is the career for you.
