Learning Mentor required to work with small classes of students that are no longer in mainstream education This role requires a Learning Mentor that is able to support Maths, English and Science lessons, alongside managing classroom behaviours. The school has an excellent team that work closely with students who have been excluded from mainstream education. They aim to motivate students and get them reengaged with education. If you are a Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant looking for a new challenge, look no further!

Job Role:

  • Working with small groups of students
  • Making learning fun for disengaged students
  • Providing support to teaching staff when needed
  • Building rapport and trust with students
  • Leading on fun classroom activities


Ideally, you will:

  • Have experience working as a Learning Mentor or Teaching Assistant
  • Have worked with challenging behaviour
  • Be able to break down barriers to communication
  • Have a calm, patient and positive approach
  • Be able to challenge students when required
