SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism)
An experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant is required at a SEN Resource Unit in South Manchester. The successful candidate will work 1-1 with a non verbal, autistic, KS1 child.
Teachers have high expectations and aspirations for students and there is a strong focus on learning through play. The role will run until the end of the year.
As a SEN TA it is vital that you are patient, understanding and compassionate. You will experience a variety of challenges on a daily basis so it is very important you can react and use your initiative.
Candidates must have:
Experience with children with similar needs
Previous SEN TA experience
Knowledge of additional needs
Interest in working with children
A positive and enthusiastic approach
