SEN Teaching Assistants required for a specialist school

Are you a Psychology graduate wanting to gain invaluable experience in schools? Did you gain experience whilst completing your degree?

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants are required at a specialist SEN school in South Manchester. This school is based on the border of Trafford and requires help working one to one with a particular child in KS1. This child is in a mainstream primary but in their SEN unit, working in a small class of 5 children. The environment is nurturing and supports the children to learn and progress .;

Teachers have high expectations and aspirations for students. They also have good subject knowledge and use it to set work which is engaging and challenging. As a result, students enjoy their learning and are keen to do well.
As a SEN TA it is vital that you are patient, understanding and compassionate. You will experience a variety of challenges on a daily basis so it is very important you can react and use your initiative.

Candidates must have:

Experience with children with complex needs - ASC, Physical and medical needs, SEBD,
Previous SEN TA experience - either in support work or in education
Knowledge of additional needs - various
Interest in working with children
A positive and enthusiastic approach
