The Education Network is currently recruiting for Level2 and Level 3 Nursery nurses to work in Glossop supporting a large chain of nurseries.
Nursery nurses provide care for children up to four years old. They assist in many aspects of their daily lives, through social, emotional, educational and practical interaction, nurturing and guidance.
You will be required to:
Help oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy and child-friendly environment;
Supervise activities, such as messy play, crafts, cooking, reading and outdoor/physical pursuits;
Plan, observe and keep records that inform parents and carers about their child's day.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
Feeding suitable meals, snacks and drink;
Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training;
Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners;
Working with any health and social care professionals, where necessary, and undertaking any relevant admin/paperwork.
CACHE Level 3 or 2 Diploma in Child Care and Education, a BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development or an NVQ Level 3 or 2 in Children's Care, Learning and Development are required.
If you enjoy working with young children 'hands on', nursery nurse jobs are for you. Posts can be either full or part time. Hours can vary and you might be required to work during holidays or at weekends.
