SEN Teaching Assistant (ASC)
Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants are required at an SEN school in Oldham. This school is based in north of the city and requires help working one to one with a particular child and some group work with a small number of pupils.
Teachers have high expectations and aspirations for students. They also have good subject knowledge and use it to set work which is engaging and challenging. As a result, students enjoy their learning and are keen to do well.
As a SEN TA it is vital that you are patient, understanding and compassionate. You will experience a variety of challenges on a daily basis so it is very important you can react and use your initiative.
Candidates must have:
Experience with children with similar needs - especially ASC
Previous SEN TA experience
Knowledge of additional needs
Interest in working with children
A positive and enthusiastic approach
