The Education Network is currently recruiting for tutors to work in and out of the school environment , supporting with intervention , various curriculum areas as well as some pastoral support. If you are confident delivering English, Maths, Science, Health , Sociology, RE and other Humanities from KS2-4 then this is a great opportunity for you.
Your role will involve:
Travel to students' homes, libraries, or schools to conduct tutoring sessions.
Schedule tutoring appointments with students or their parents/carers.
Research or recommend textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring.
Participate in training and development sessions to improve tutoring practices or learn new tutoring techniques.
Review class material with students by discussing text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing worksheets or other assignments.
Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
Prepare lesson plans or learning modules for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals.
Maintain records of students' assessment results, progress, feedback, or school performance, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
Identify, develop, or implement intervention strategies, tutoring plans, or individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Develop teaching or training materials, such as hand outs, study materials, or quizzes.
Communicate students' progress to students, parents/carers or teachers in written progress reports, in person, by phone, or by email. - on a daily, weekly and termly basis
Assess students' progress throughout tutoring sessions.
Teach students study skills, note-taking skills, and test-taking strategies.
Provide private instruction to individual or small groups of students to improve academic performance, improve occupational skills, or prepare for academic or occupational tests.
A teaching qualification is essential with a number of the tuition
Experience working with children of all ages
A car is needed in some cases for travel
Current DBS on the update service (we can process one for you if you require one)
