1:1 Tutor based in South Manchester
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
The Education Network is currently recruiting for a one to one tutor to provide alternative provision for a Year 10 boy as respite from school.
The provision will be every morning from 10.00 to 13.00 with a view to increase to 25 hours over time.
Initially the tutor will need to provide a combination of mentor/pastoral based support building up to more academic work at an appropriate time. Academic topics will run alongside the schools schemes of work to support a future transition back into school. Ideally the tutor will support in this gradual transition.
Tutors need to hold qualified teacher status, be patient and caring and be able to commit to this position for a minimum of a term or it is more likely that it will continue for the rest of the academic year.
