We are currently recruiting for tutors to work in and out of the school environment , supporting with intervention , various curriculum areas as well as some pastoral support. If you have experience of working with children with additional needs this would be very useful.

Your role will involve:
Travel to students' homes, libraries, or schools to conduct tutoring sessions - sessions can be one, two or three hours in length
Schedule tutoring appointments with students or their parents , school or LA
Prepare and facilitate tutoring workshops, collaborative projects, or academic support sessions for small groups of students.
Organize tutoring environment to promote productivity and learning and research or recommend textbooks, software, equipment, or other learning materials to complement tutoring
Monitor student performance or assist students in academic environments, such as classrooms, study centres or libraries.
Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students.
Prepare lesson plans or learning modules for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals.
Maintain records of students' assessment results, progress, feedback, or school performance, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
Identify, develop, or implement intervention strategies, tutoring plans, or individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
Develop teaching or training materials, such as hand outs, study materials, or quizzes.
Communicate students' progress to students, parents or teachers in written progress reports, in person, by phone, or by email.
Share interests and themes that both you and your tutees are interested in to engage and encourage learning.

You will need:
GCSE Maths and English
A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential
Experience working with children of all ages - additional needs may include SEBD, ASC, Global Learning Delay and Health issues which prevent school attendance
Current DBS - on the update service (we can process one for you if you require one)
