Are you an enthusiastic Maths Teacher with experience working in an Alternative Provision?
The Education Network are working with an Alternative Provision in Southend-On-Sea who are looking for a Maths Teacher to start after the February Half-Term. The school predominantly works with Key Stage 4 students who are unable to access mainstream education for a variety of reasons such as illness, disability and SEHM needs. As the Maths Teacher you will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons for students as well be active in the wider school community. To be a successful Maths Teacher in this school you must have the ability to develop effective relationships with both students and LSAs in order to manage behavioural issues effectively.
The school is a 'Good School' where the Head teacher has a clear vision to improve the life chances of the young people that are taught there. The school is located in a new, purpose-built facility that has created a sense of pride and care amongst the students. Students have said it is an environment in which they feel safe and can achieve in. There has been much progress at the school and the students are quickly developing a good attitude towards their learning.
The school is looking for:
- An experienced Maths Teacher who has extensive knowledge of GCSE Maths Curriculum.
- Previous work history in an Alternative Provision or similar
- A teacher who can form effective working relationships with both students and support staff.
