We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, confident and hardworking KS2 Teacher to work in one of our lovely partnership schools in Gateshead from May until the summer. This is a long-term role covering maternity leave, so the successful KS2 Teacher will be expected to be responsible for the planning, teaching and assessing of the appropriate year group's curriculum (TBC); however, the school is two-form entry, meaning that a year group partner will be available to share the workload.

This is a lovely, old-fashioned primary school which pride themselves on their lovely, polite pupils who work hard and enjoy coming to school. This is therefore a fantastic opportunity for either experienced practitioners or NQTs to get their foot in the door of a supportive and well-resourced primary school.


* QTS in the UK

* Recent and relevant experience as a KS2 Teacher in UK schools

* Ability to teach and reflect upon engaging lessons which produce quantifiable pupil progress across a range of abilities

* Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to build strong professional rapports with children and staff

* Effective use of AfL and formal assessment strategies to track pupil progress and inform future planning

* A full understanding of safeguarding procedures and the responsibilities of a KS2 Teacher

*Secure working knowledge of the KS2 national curriculum
