School Technician - Durham (Part Time)
The Education Network is currently working in partnership with a school in Durham in search of a School Technician to work two days per week. The role is to provide support across the Food Technology and Textiles department, including supporting teachers to prepare lessons, maintaining sewing machines, creating resources, and assisting the teacher in both Cookery and Textiles lessons . The role is initially temporary to start in September 2019 and has no fixed end date.
In order to be successful in your application you must be confident and have relevant experience, preferably within a school environment.
Requirements for this role:
- A qualification in a relevant subject (Cookery/Food Tech/Textiles)
- Experience in the classroom or recent work with young people/children.
- Have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students.
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills.
