A primary school in Basildon are looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to join them in January 2019 on a permanent basis. The school has made excellent progress recently and the school are seeking an individual who is committed to raising standards and joining them on their mission to become an outstanding centre of teaching and excellence.
The school is an average sized primary academy that currently meets government floor standards. The teaching is good in the school and the teachers offer a wide and varied curriculum. They aim to challenge the children to be inquisitive learners and to think independently. Pupils seem to love their school and are well behaved because of mutual respect between teacher, parents and pupils. There is good attendance at the school, however the pupils do start at lower than average levels when entering in Reception classes. But the school make effective use of the pupil premium allowance to narrow the gap.
